York Sewer District
ACCOUNTANT/CONTROLLER
The York Sewer District is currently seeking an experienced and
energetic individual for its Accountant/Controller position (due
to a pending retirement). This position is responsible for a
variety of accounting and personnel-related functions, including
payroll processing, financial statement preparation, accounts
payable and receivable, depreciation, and benefit orientation.

This workshop will provide participants
with the knowledge needed to respond to a fuel and/or
chemical spill that can occur at traffic accidents.
These spills can contaminate surface water supplies, watersheds and wellhead
areas. Spills into combined sewer systems can affect collection
systems and treatment works.
This six hour seminar is designed to train
the participants on how to manage this type
of incident through pre-planning, use of the Incident Command
System and through resource management .

Maine WasteWater Control Association
Recognized for Environmental Efforts
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) New England Office
has recently recognized the efforts of the Maine Wastewater
Control Association (MWWCA). The MWWCA was nominated by the Maine
Department of Environmental Protection (DEI) and endorsed by EPA
personnel acknowledging all of the outstanding work that the MWWCA
has done over the years to advocate for Maine's wastewater
professionals by supporting training opportunities, advancing
technology transfer, and enhancing the image of wastewater
