Frank
Stratton
East Millinocket Water & Sewer Department's
Superintendent
by Steve Lane
Millinocket Wastewater Treatment Facility

**The second week of the 2002 Maine Moose hunt was the setting for a
week of vacation from the East Millinocket Water and Wastewater
Utilities for Superintendent Frank Stratton and his significant other
half, Barbara. Frank downed this nice 730-pound bull on the 3rd day of
their hunt on October 9th at about 2:30 in the afternoon with 2 shots
from his 270 caliber Remington. Frank had been putting in an
application for a permit to hunt moose in Maine since the drawing
began back in the early 80’s. But it was Barbara, who was entering the
annual drawing for only her second time, who came up with the lucky
chance to go on a moose hunt in Maine. Just being the subpermittee on
the permit was fine with Frank. Stratton is an avid outdoorsman and
enjoys his time off in the fall chasing the elusive whitetail deer in
the Katahdin Region.**
