MWWCA President Andrew Rudzinski Recognizes Mike Grove with the '06 MWWCA Presidential Service Award



The Presidential Service Award is intended to recognize a person who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in helping the MWWCA President.

I recognized Mike for his tireless efforts as MWWCA Government Affairs Chair for lobbying on behalf of the Association. Mike fought for us every opportunity, morning, noon and night- and weekends too! He was at the statehouse working the legislators, at their offices, giving testimony, and coordinating efforts with DEP. Mike broke new ground by establishing relations with the environmental group "Environment Maine". This is revolutionary. Mike also recognized the importance of working with the media. He worked hard to network with all the members of MWWCA to try to establish a unified voice and lobby at the statehouse. Mike used the Association's web site, the newspaper, the e-mail system, to get out information to the members and motivate them. He wrote editorials to newspapers and refined our legislative advocacy.

Mike Grove is another outstanding, refined and capable gentleman.
