Robert Knight is the NEWEA Operator Safety Award recipient. Mr. Knight, from the Biddeford, Maine Wastewater Treatment Plant was unanimously selected by his staff for this award. He actively promotes safety at the plant, maintains records, conducts safety inspections, and is respected by his peers for his implementation and promotion of the plant’s safety program. He is “Mr. Safety” in their eyes. He is officially the Project Safety Team Leader (PSTL). This is proven by their safety record; a benefit to all his fellow workers.
